Ibiza Town House
Balearic Islands
an Erwin Broner house
Nestled on a cliff at the entrance to the island's main port, Ibiza Town House offers spectacular 360 degree views: toward the island of Formentera on the open sea side, up the hill to the Dalt Vila's ancient cathedral, and across Ibiza harbour & marina.
Inspired by the Bauhaus movement of the 1920s and 1930s, Munich-born Broner designed a number of remarkable houses across Ibiza, most of which still stand today. Most famous is the nearby Casa Broner, which he lived in after he relocated permanently to the island in the 1950s, following more than a decade in Los Angeles where he had worked on various architecture & film projects. In 1959 he co-founded the Ibiza59 artistic group alongside the likes of Erwin Bechtold, Bob Munford, and Bertil Sjöberg.
Ibiza Town House was refurbished in 2021.
The Miranda 2-bedroom maisonette consists of the upper 3 floors, with its splendid panoramic roof terrace, cantilevered stairs and spacious balearic style kitchen & living area with large panoramic sliding glass windows offering scenic views. The Sa Riba one-bedroom apartment covers the first floor, while a traditional almacen is at street level and built back into the rock cliff.
We do hope you enjoy the photographs.
Miranda
This triplex residence is spread across the upper three floors of the building. There are two double bedrooms with ensuite-shower rooms on the lower floor, a spacious living & dining room floor with front to back views, from which cantilevered stairs lead up to the large roof terrace. From here there are unrestricted views of Ibiza Town, Formentera, Sa Penya, Dalt Vila, Marina Botafoc, and Isla Planeta.
Sa Riba
Located on the first floor of the building with a private entrance from Calle de la Virgen featuring a traditional Ibizan staircase, Sa Riba today consists of an open plan living area with a kitchenette, shower room and a double bedroom with built-in wardrobe and storage space. The small balcony off the living room offers views of Cap Sa Penya and Ibiza harbour.
